Made my day! I saw this in Gainesville, TX, a town of about 16000 people.

One of my favorite cars! Along with the Europa - the first mid-engined production cars.

 :coolpic: Yummy!
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

One of the best looking cars ever made for sure. I helped a friend fix a botched engine restoration on one of these many moons ago. He restored the rest of the car and it was beautiful. This was back in the early 80's. He bought the car  (an SV) for around $100K in a reasonable shape, sunk another 70K and about a million hours into it making it perfect in every way, and ended up selling to someone in Japan for something like 500K. I think SV's are now worth over a million. WAY out of my league!

No,
He only drove it once after the restoration. He had a "Coming out" party for it with wine and food....I did go to that. And then he got divorced and it ended up sold. I am sure any money he had left got poured into racing formula cars.

Dang....I can't fathom someone who would go to all that trouble and then not drive the freaking thing....

Though when your car is worth a million dollars and any old honda oddesy could come along and wipe you out I guess I would be afraid too.
