You should never bet on my knowledge of pop culture but I would have thought I'd heard about it in my misspent youth! It looks worth a look if only for the Europa! Youtube has the complete movie here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZW5DvKZ8qmg

I remember going to see this movie when it first cam out . At the  time,  I didn't realize there was a Europa in it.  .  I drove my 73 JPS to the theater and by chance I got a spot right in front. ( In those days we didn't have the huge multiplex theaters) Well to my surprise there was the chase seen with the Europa , lot of oohs and ahs as many people didn't even know what the car was.  As people were leaving the  theater and saw my car, they thought it was a movie prop.  Lots of folks drooling over it.  Needless to say I walked up to the car and answered lots of questions.  Finally leaving,  I laid a patch of rubber.  Made me smile and feel good!

What a great tale, it made me smile just reading it and I can imagine the pull the cars had back then. And gold star award for the exit !

That  IS a great story!

I watched the movie on youtube. It was pretty good - in a '70s sort of way! It has a great cast. Unfortunately, the video quality isn't great, but it's passable. Unfortunately, the Europa part is at the very end, but it's fairly substantial.

It's nice to see our cars featured prominently in a movie!

Nice to see, but the Dino would be worth £250k but the Europa £25k.  :(

I'll have to watch the movie to see if the Europa survives the jump..

My favorite memory of 11 Harrowhouse:

The TC has firewall insulation glued in place in the engine compartment, but the glue is not very good so the insulation does not stick too well to the firewall. It also gets saturated with oil/water which makes it heavy, making it even more likely the insulation will become detached from the firewall.

The insulation extends down to the area near the bottom of  both fuel tanks, or the bottom of the car. When I first bought my car the insulation at the bottom of the car had become completely detached from the firewall. The insulation is one big sheet covering the entire firewall, so the only thing keeping the bottom section from falling away was its connection to the rest of the insulation.

But the bottom insulation drooped down below the car body, only an inch or two above the ground. It was quite visible when looking at the side of the car, and would drag when you hit a big bump.

In the chase scene I  could see this same insulation hanging down below the car, dragging the ground on occasion. It made me smile. Looks like the problem I had was universal.
