So, John. Do you have a long term report on your ride? Cool things (ok, the ones that are probably not so obvious from what we know about the car), quirks, surprises?

Yes John, how does a "show" car transfer to "go" duties ?

From the two programs there looked to be a lot of engineering in the conversion, I for one would be interested to know how that pans out on the road. I'm imagine now you've got the engine settled it's like driving a rocket !

I am interestred in an update report as well. I saw a glimpse of your car on a TV commercial the other day and got to wondering how you were making out with it. I certainly hope all is well. Cheers.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

She sure is a beauty and I'm not surprised it's a monster! Glad to hear it's working out well. I wouldn't ever expect it to be finished though. There will always be some "loose end" that you might take care of. I suspect that it will just be a matter of which loose end you feel like taking care of.

I will try and post a video of it getting tuned on the Dyno once I get it over to the tuner.

Jay told me he wants to do a follow up for his website once the car is complete I will post a link when that happens

I'd really like to see that!!

I only found the second Overhaullin' episode so if anybody can point me to the first, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks, John. After I saw the ID plate, I searched using the season and episode and found it on Youtube. Before I searched for "overhaulin europa" and only got the second one.

I was set to have a friend drive my car who is smaller than Jay.  He got about as far a getting in the seat, when his legs fouled the wheel and he gave up.  I'll be anxiously waiting for the scene where Jay takes it around the block:)

That probably will be entertaining if they show it, but I think Jay can navigate his way into and out of a Europa since he has at least one.

Oops! My mistake. I thought I had seen a Europa in the background on one of his shows...

How tall is Jay? Do you find that your height or width is the more critical dimension?
