WTB: Windshield
« on: Sunday,October 05, 2014, 08:08:01 PM »
Just picked up a '73 TC that's been sitting for over 30 years. Unfortunately, doesn't have a windshield. Looking to buy one used if possible. Hoping for one in decent shape (not cracked or chipped). Local to Pittsburgh, PA would be great but I'm thinking the chances of that will be slim. Let me know what you have and price shipped to 15239. Thanks!

I bought a Europa windshield from Pilkington in Columbus, OH.  Drove down and picked it up.. Saved on shipping and packing.  Cost me $185.  They had about 12 in stock.

The TC & TCS have a bonded in screen and is not fitted with rubbers. Is the trim around the window in good condition? if so try not to wreck it as a new trim is expensive and they are not quite to the same spec and take a bit of fitting so I understand.

A few years ago, I had my windshield 'reinstalled' due to a leak. I requested if the trim was reusable to please reuse as it's expensive. Which, when picking up car, they had done. Great job! Except, the metal foil (?) inside the trim is crinkled up, and looks bad. But, they did do as I asked!
