I don't need another Europa, but this one is growing on me as a project. And I think what he did with the dash to get it drivable is actually pretty creative. Now I want a starter button, volt meter and fuel ratio gauge on my car. Oh - and don't forget the digital "clock" on the left! But, alas, no ashtray  :'(

What was the final weight savings on the doors?

feeBay came through on my ultra-rare SBC valve covers.
So I may now pay for the VMC.
Shipping cost is still an issue, it is nearly three times the cost of the machine.  :headbanger:
I've begun trying to revive my CAD skills, that is not going to be quick.

  How about this...
But seriously, the original black looks more brown compared to Chromabase G9900S.

Today was a half day, I had some landscaping chores the wife dreamed up and a trip to buy everything.
Then I found the oil leak , a low oil pressure sensor was not fully tightened... simple.
The overheat , might have been caused by a swirl pot cap not fully tightened. I thought the otter switch wasnt hooked up but the sensor was. I had a worm gear clamp on the overflow tube line that prevented the caps engagement,... hopefully.
Fixed the clutch pedal rearward movement by adding a bracket for a stop. yes, I screwed up and built the stop on the firewall side when I rebuilt the rusted out original assembly.
Freed up the throttle cable but the choke doesn't move.  Tomorrow is another day sadly.

I've seen worse for more $.  9K+ is probably a stretch, I'd be more interested in it at 7-7500.

It took a little bit of effort but I got the engine to break free and rotate freely. I was initially going to use ATF/acetone mixture but I discovered that my can of acetone had evaporated away long ago and my can of WD40 had lost its air pressure. At that time I was tired and most likely too lazy to make the 25 miles round trip to the hardware store in town. I did have a can of PB Blaster which I decided to use. The piston rings probably were not too badly rusted to the cylinders but the PB Blaster did the job. Once I finish the leak down test I'll pour in some light lubricant to coat the piston walls for long term storage.
