s2 waterpump question crossfow
« on: Sunday,July 13, 2014, 11:29:32 AM »
Hi quick question_  I am taking my water pump off and have some corrosion to the piping tubes.
Luckily I have a spare from a Renault fuego. The pulley fits on it fine with the round hub that it has so what's
this I've heard about having to switch it for the triangular hub? I thing the spacing of the
threads is different by /16" but it works so will it be OK?   Rgds mark

There's two pumps with different spacing for the pulley mounting holes: 30 mm or 37 mm between holes.  Click on the photos found this page for an explanation:

Thanks for the link - I guess that shows that even though my Fuego water pump has the round not triangular tip,
its the spacing that matters - and because the pulley fits on with the 3 bolts ,it must be OK.
