Test drives and bucket lists
« on: Saturday,October 17, 2015, 09:57:07 PM »
While others played with their Europas, mine sat lonely in the trailer (still covered in dust from last competition outing) while I headed off to be otherwise occupied in Europe.
Managed to do a couple of enjoyable extra things along the way including 2 very fun cars in a very fun (or scary/confronting) place.

Got in a good length drive in a BMW 235 MSport, very nice and 240kW to make it go, plus a fling in a Clio around 'The Ring'.
Highly recommended.

Yep, did the Nordschleife north loop and around the general region on the road as well.
Did also visit the Nürburgring circuit where there was a few things going on including a Audi drive experience going on, about 20 V10 Audis blatting around plus a GT3 car doing quick ride laps. BMW also had the drive experience going on around sections of the Nordschleife which we watched for a while (they left their apex cones out for us which was nice).

Couple of plugs.
Gästehaus Fuchsröhre in Welcherath, great little place to stay if you want the 'just like home' experience.

RSR Nurburg, rent your 'racer' here, but yes, read the fine print and be aware you are taking the big excess risk unless you seperately organise track insurance (RSR can point you at a provider).

That sounds like a great trip! Make sure your Europa doesn't catch wind of what you did or it might get jealous! ;D
