Seat belt hook
« on: Tuesday,December 26, 2017, 06:00:48 AM »
Happy Christmas to all.

Does anyone know if there was a hook that was used on the TC seat belts to stow them out the way when not in use, mine just lays on the seat and gets in the way when getting in and out, or were they always like that?

Regards
Phil

No seatbelt hook that I'm aware of. It would probably add too much weight!  ;D

Just checked my Federal spec TC.

Unfortunately it has inertia seat belts, so I would imagine that was a US requirement then.

That narrows down your field for replies.

I added a pair of rare-earth magnets.  Easy to fit in small sizes with a hole in the middle for easy mounting.

None on my UK spec car. At one point I did have home made ones clipped over the back carpeted panel just to the side of the headrests but not really successful. Mainly due to me forgetting.....  but changing to inertia reel  belts solves that problem !
