clutch size on TCS

I have an interesting dilemma which I wonder if anyone has come across before. My flywheel on the TCS is for a 7.5" clutch and the centre hole is 1.75" instead of 1.5" the TCS should have an 8.5" clutch. I have decided to get good old Richard at Banks to machine it for a 8.5" clutch and fit an additional spacer for the output shaft bearing. But has anyone come a cross this before?
