Windscreen fitting on TCS
« on: Friday,August 11, 2017, 01:22:28 AM »
Windscreen time now. Probably will buy the screen and the trim from Banks. I have read the manual and searched the forum for how to fit it. The workshop manual method of fitting I guess has been superseded and searching the forum hasn't brought up how to do it.
So has anyone fitted a windscreen recently and any tips on doing it.

Hi there,

I followed the same process outlined in this link.

http://www.lotus-europa.com/manuals/misc/Banks_Crash_Pad_Installation.htm

scroll down to the bottom of the article and it details fitting.

Worked for me!

cheers,

Thanks, that looks the same basically as in the Lotus manual. Using the Butyl strip. Just spoken to Richard at Banks and he suggest a more modern method. I will find out the details next week and post the process.
