Yep.......expensive alright.  $1550.00 U.S.

These have the sub axle attached at the CV joint on the differential side.  I think the CV joints are VW.....well, German anyway.
I have not a clue where they are made.  I'm not diggin' the red, black would be better but I won't change it as it is powder coated.

Ah, you've got the best spec on the current market there Mike, from what I read when looking for mine the stub axle is stronger than the OEM one. Given you have the axle as well, it's probably no more expensive than mine, which just replace the shaft/doughnuts and retain the original stub axles. 

It might seem expensive now, but in 12 months time when you're driving the car with no maintenance hassles you'll have forgotten all about the cost. (in fact my memory for spending on toys is really awful, sometimes I can't even remember how much something costs even when it arrives on the doorstep....   ;)   )

I'm pretty sure those are type 1 VW CV joints. Readily available at reasonable prices. That is a good modification.  :trophy:
